Who is responsible?

What we collect and why
We collect your email, selected languages (up to four), customer/professional/both preference, Swiss postcode and locality, optional service interests and professional service descriptions. We record when you confirmed your email and the version of this notice. We use this information to manage the waiting list, understand demand by area and service, and send launch and availability emails that you request. We do not create a marketplace account or booking. Please do not include sensitive information in optional text.
Your choice
Launch emails rely on your consent. Confirmation by email is required. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting info@butlerbee.ch. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully. Joining does not oblige you to buy or provide services. We do not sell your details or send unrelated advertising.
Hosting and recipients
The website and waiting list database are hosted on our Hostinger VPS in Frankfurt, Germany. Infomaniak in Switzerland provides email delivery. These providers and authorised technical administrators may process data as needed to operate and secure the service. Email also passes through your chosen email provider, which may process it in other countries. We do not send postcode searches to a third-party map provider. No advertising trackers or third-party analytics are used.
Retention and security
Unconfirmed signup details expire after 48 hours. Confirmed details are kept for up to 12 months after your latest confirmation, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first. We do not automatically move you to a marketplace account. Short-lived hashed anti-abuse counters are kept for up to 7 days; website security logs for up to 14 days. An address hash recording deletion may be retained for 90 days to prevent deleted details returning from a backup. Backups may retain older copies for up to 30 days and are restricted to recovery, not marketing. HTTPS, restricted database access and confirmation tokens protect access, but no system offers absolute security.
Your rights and contact
You can request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information or withdraw consent by writing to info@butlerbee.ch. We may need proportionate evidence that you control the email address concerned. Where applicable, you may object to processing or request restriction and complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your competent EU data protection authority. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies; GDPR rights apply where its scope is met.
Device preferences and localities
Your language choice is stored on your device to remember it. It is not used for tracking. Swiss locality data comes from the Federal Office of Topography swisstopo (October 2026). A postcode may cover more than one locality; choose yours. This notice applies only to the pre-launch waiting list. We will provide separate information before offering marketplace services or changing the purpose of these details.
